Virginia Monica Onu is an experienced, aggressive attorney committed to providing high quality legal services at reasonable rates. Her office is located in Bellevue, Washington.
Ms. Onu has been in practice since 1998. Her practice focuses exclusively on family law and she handles a variety of family law matters including divorce, parenting plans, child support issues, maintenance, relocations and modifications. Ms. Onu handles cases ranging from uncontested divorces to high conflict cases. She frequently handles complicated custody issues and complex property and financial issues involving experts such as parenting plan evaluators and guardian ad litems, business evaluators and real estate appraisers.
Ms. Onu has extensive experience in family law matters. She has tried cases in both King and Snohomish Counties and routinely represents clients in a variety of court proceedings including Motions for Temporary Orders, Motions for Revision, Motions for Reconsideration, Motions for Adequate Cause and Protection Order hearings. Ms. Onu also assists clients in resolving their cases through Alternative Dispute Resolution, including Mediations and Arbitrations. She believes that while negotiation and collaboration are important, the key to success is a willingness and ability to litigate when the situation calls for it.
Ms. Onu is also the current chair of the East King County Bar Association Family Law Section, and serves as a Commissioner Pro Tempore with the King County Superior Court. In her spare time she volunteers as a mediator with the King County Volunteer Family Law Settlement Conference Program and with the Eastside Legal Assistance Program.
